I wanted to point out outstanding community blog posts that might be worth your time to review.
Rob Clayburn has an exceptional post entitled Ajax templating within Joomla! which promises a jump start for developers looking to learn how to Ajax empower their MVC components for Joomla!. Tremendous post.
If you have not visited JFoobar please add it to your RSS feed. A group of J! experts, closely involved with the project, blog there - Angie, Anthony, Toni, Arno, Ian, Robin, and Wilco. There is a continuous feed of valuable information like this great post from Arno entitled How to set up dynamic CSS. Lots of good community discussion, too. It's more than "just a blog." There is also the JFoobar Labs where you will find a growing list of useful extensions and learning material for developers. Very, very valuable community resource.
Andrew Eddie is such an excellent teacher. Check out his tutorial entitled Precision Banner Tagging in Joomla!. In it, Andrew shares how easy it is to combine Article Meta Keywords, Banner Tags and the Banner Module to create relevant informative or advertising banners. It was eye opening.
If you are into Open Social, read David Towers's post at Good Web Practices entitled Google Friend Connect for Joomla Web sites. David not only informs readers that Google Friend Connect is available, but he also explains how to take full advantage on our Joomla! Web sites.
Joe LeBlanc shares a bundle of snippets for development in Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5 for Mac users who already use or want to try Textmate.
Thanks to Ivo Apostolov for sharing a Joom!Fish update given a recent meeting with Geraint and Alex. Such a strategically important area for the project and seeing the detail on these discussions is helpful.
Pete Coutts shared video and feedback from Joomla! Day Switzerland. Lots of familiar faces there - Angie, Yannick, Beat, Ivo, Wilco, Hagan, Soren, and it looked like a great event.
If you speak Italian (or, if you use FoxLingo and it speaks Italian for you), add di Flavio Copes's blog to your must read list. The dude has his finger on the pulse of this community and regularly shares what is happening.
Now, who is Tweeting out there? If you are a Twitter addict, first, add me :-P (AmyStephen), then consider sharing a guest blog about what Twitter is all about and how it can be used for business and networking. If you are interested, email me at AmyStephen AT community DOT joomla DOT org.
