Monthly Virtual JUG meeting. We usually have a member spotlight and then a feature presentation. This virtual JUG is for those who own a website design business or build websites on the Joomla platform. We join together to share ideas and help each other out. Owning a business has many challenges - joining a community of like-minded people to explore solutions to these challenges is a great way to keep you on a successful path. Our hope is to not only learn more about designing websites in Joomla but also share knowledge about being a business owner as well. This is a private Facebook Group. You are welcome to register and join us.  

This will be a live streamed event where we will code along to accomplish a preset task.

This will not be a tutorial and will be led by an organiser, but the person may not be there to teach you.  An element of self learning will be required, and some helpful links may guide you.

My intention is NOT to tell you the answers but to force you to think for yourself so you practice problem solving on your journey.

A Dutch Joomla Unconference in Breda, Netherlands

This year, we are doing something a little different. Instead of the annual JoomlaDagen, we are organising a Joomla Unconference. Because the international Joomla World Conference takes place in Berlin from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October, we decided to organise a smaller event this year. You could think of it as "JoomlaDagen Light": a one-day event focused on sharing knowledge, meeting other Joomla users and having great discussions.

What is an Unconference? If you missed it, you might be wondering: what is an Unconference? An Unconference is a conference without a fixed programme. Instead, we create the programme together at the start of the day. Registration and programme Registration starts at 09:00. We begin by collecting topics. You can suggest something you would like to present or a topic you would like to learn more about. After that, everyone votes for their favourite topics. The topics with the most votes become part of the programme, which we schedule on the spot. This means that you help decide what will be discussed during the day.

Food and drinks Lunch is included. At the end of the day, we will enjoy fries (or chips, depending on where you're from!) with a snack of your choice. You will receive several drink vouchers for coffee, tea and soft drinks. Beer, wine and other alcoholic drinks are available at your own expense. Tickets A ticket costs €50, including lunch and dinner (fries/chips). Our venue has limited capacity, so don't wait too long to book your ticket.

After a break of several years, the Joomla User Group Rome (JUG Rome) is officially back to bring together the Roman community of developers, web designers, communications professionals, companies and enthusiasts of the renowned open-source content management system, Joomla. The decision to relaunch during Rome Future Week underlines JUG Rome’s commitment to becoming part of the wider ecosystem of innovation in the city, fostering the sharing of knowledge, collaboration between professionals and the promotion of the values of open source, participation and collective growth. The event will be an opportunity to reconnect with the group’s long-standing members, welcome new participants and present the programme of activities that will shape the Joomla User Group Rome over the coming months: technical meetings, workshops, training sessions, networking opportunities and in-depth discussions dedicated to the world of Joomla and web technologies. The return of the Joomla User Group Rome represents much more than the resumption of a series of meetings: it is the rebirth of a community that believes in sharing expertise, collaboration and open innovation. We want to create a space where professionals, businesses, students and anyone simply curious can exchange ideas, learn and contribute to the development of the open web. The event is open to everyone: developers, web agencies, freelancers, students, public organizations, associations and anyone wishing to learn more about Joomla and its ecosystem. No specific skills are required: the spirit of the Joomla User Group is to bring together people with different experiences and levels of expertise.
