We all know of people who just post Spam and have no life - sitting alone and unloved in their tiny dark rooms wasting their lives in this frivolous pursuit. “Spam” hasn’t been limited to email for a long time and has always referred to unwanted, tacky, inappropriate solicitations. It is SPAM that is of ZERO use to the real members of our forums. The problem with some forum spam is that it is beginning to become a little more subtle. I’ve noticed an increase in fairly innocent posts that are made so the spambot can edit the post a few weeks or months down the line and drop a link without an admin noticing it. Fortunately, the forum’s moderators, global moderators, and forum admins have done a very nice job, diligently working paylessly (a made-up word for volunteer) to maintain worthwhile reading material in the forums but because of the increase in spam, they are spending less and less time responding to user's issues and more and more time on simply keeping the forums free of these annoyances. Almost everyday now, I am banning 3-5 spammers and removing 15 or more spam posts and that is just one of the moderators.

The Report Button: If you find a post that looks like it's in violation of the forum rules, please report it to us by using the report button next to the post. Clicking the button will notify every administrator, moderator, and global moderator informing them of the post's location, so that we can find it and take care of it. This is the best way to fight against spammers or people who are trying to cause trouble. If you just ignore it, it may never get addressed! The person you are reporting will not know who reported the post.

By the way, new users who post advertisements as first posts are considered as spammers and will automatically be banned!
