Back on the Track

As I said in the last blog I was quite behind my shedules because I couldn't start coding when it should started. Ok however now everything under control and  it's align with the shedule...

Story so far

If you are not aware of my project this is for you..

JConnect is a gateway for joomla which can be used to connect with other-application or software...
more details can be derived from here..

from the last blog i've much time to work with and have done a lot. So now JConnect is a some thing like below

• It can send-user details to External Applications (we say ExApps) ultimately it can synchronize joomla users with ExApps.
• JConnect can listen to ExApps for changes of user-details in ExApp and synchronize with Joomla.
• using JConnect ExApps can log-into Joomla without touching any-joomla code (using JConnect gateway)
• JConnect has a Admin Component which is used to mange ExApps and configure them.

JConnect is implemented in a way that it doen't use any Joomla core hacks and totally done via plugins and components.

Things to do in near Future 

• implement bulk user-sync between Joomla and ExApps
• add much more controls to JConnect configurations (specially to manage ExApps)
• Of course actual Elgg and WP integration ( these will be done after July 12th)

Limitations

JConnect works fine with Joomla 1.5 but when username get changed in Joomla that will not be synced to ExApp..
