Recommendations for Hugh|closed

Experience! While I personally like both candidates, Hugh has the experience that I believe is required to fill this role and lead Joomla going forward. That experience is both inside Joomla in several rolls as well as on our board of directors but also years of executive level experience in the IT sector. - Alison Meeks

Hugh has been a big proponent of professionalization of the organization, from ensuring that we have qualified experienced people on leadership positions to reconsidering payment for certain positions with associated accountability. Focusing on recent history i have seen Hugh invested in the "professionalizing tract" at FFTF, I have his involvement in the data breach incident and his triggering and implementation of financial investigation and championing change in associated policy. Hugh is a business person who checks his political beliefs at the door and i have not see him act other that in the interest of the project. - Marco Dings

Having worked with both of the candidates during their time on the board, I highly recommend Hugh for the position of President. His professionalism will help the organisation to become more accountable and his business experience will help Joomla reach its goals. He has already proven his skills in helping to improve policies and has been very successful in bringing new sponsors to Joomla. - Jaz Parkyn
