Version 1.6 beta2 was released on 31 May, 2 weeks after beta1. In case you missed it, there was a lot of excellent work done during those two weeks! For example, we fixed 115 issues in the SVN and closed 69 other issues in the tracker.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to this effort. And I want to recognize some individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

The following people helped on 10 or more issues in the tracker for beta2: Bill Richardson, Christopher Garvis, Rob Joyce, and Rouven Weßling.

The following people posted coding fixes for 4 or more issues during the beta2 period: Artyom Bisyarin, Dennis Hermacki, Jonnathan S. Lima, Omar Ramos, Phil Snell, and Radek Suski.

And these people helped on 10 or more issues AND posted coding patches for 4 or more issues: Airton Torres, Amy Stephen, Andrea Tarr, Andrew Eddie, Christophe Demko, Elin Waring, Jean-Marie Simonet, and Michael Babker. Wow!

Dozens of other people helped out with the tracker, with coding patches, with testing, and in other ways. And the work goes on as I write this. Which is good, because the sooner we can fix all of the bugs, the sooner we can release version 1.6.

So we the community owe these people a huge, huge thank you! But don't worry, there is plenty more work to do, so you can still get in on the fun. See you on the Bug Squad trail!

P.S. A huge thanks to Louis Landry for making it possible to pull statistics from the tracker. And a quick apology if I missed someone due to errors in my compilation.
