We are happy to announce that the nominations for Group 1 Officers and Department Coordinators have been finalised. The following individuals have proposed their nominations, according to the new Nomination process. Included are their Manifestos and the timeline for the election for their role.
Note: This is election follows the new methodology that provides different timelines based on number and type of candidates.

As the current Officer and sole candidate, no recommendation phase will be held, and Election Ballots will be sent out immediately following the announcement.

This election falls under the “Same DC/Officer Uncontested” scenario in which there is only one candidate, and they are already holding the office for which they are a candidate. This is the expedited method.
- Sat 9 Aug 2025 — Existing DC/Officer declared sole candidate; manifesto published; ballots sent immediately.
- Sat 16 Aug 2025 (23:59 UTC) — Ballots close.
- Sun 17 Aug 2025 — Results announced.
- Mon 29 Sep 2025 — First day of the new term (Group 1); Sun 28 Sep 2025 is the last day of the old term.

- Sat 16 Aug 2025 — Recommendation submission deadline (form open for 7 days).
- Sun 17 Aug 2025 — Recommendations published; community Q&A/digestion week begins.
- Sun 24 Aug 2025 — Ballots sent out (after the 1-week digestion).
- Sun 31 Aug 2025, 23:59 UTC — Ballots close (that’s 00:59 BST, Mon 1 Sep).
- Mon 1 Sep 2025 — Results announced / handover begins.
- Sun 28 Sep 2025 — Last day of old term (Group 1). Mon 29 Sep 2025 — First day of new term.
Next Steps:
- Voting Ballots for the Vice President and Treasurer elections will be sent to voting parties today. As per the Bylaws, all Members (Class 3), Team Leaders (Class 2), Department Coordinators and Officers (Class 1) have the right to vote in the Officers' elections.
According to the Bylaws (link below), existing Officers also vote for new Officer roles.
