For analyzing errors or developing Joomla! websites, you cannot do without certain tools.

The Firefox webbrowser has some very useful addons which make troubleshooting and development much easier and faster.
A small selection:

Firebug - a development tool to edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.
Web Developer - similar to Firebug, but with some different options.
ColorZilla - a color picker to get a color reading from any point in your browser.
MeasureIt - a ruler to determine the pixel width and height of any elements on a webpage.
Dummy Lipsum - a Lorem Ipsum dummy text generator.
