Andrew Eddie to Give Live Video Presentation of Joomla 1.6

If you've been reading the Tweets about the Joomla! 1.6 development work in the past few weeks (hint: search for #Joomla16 on Twitter for more real-time information), you've undoubtedly seen the Joomla development team is working hard to push forward on the newest Joomla release.  To help give more insight into what's being developed, Andrew Eddie will be presenting some of the key features of the Joomla 1.6 release at the upcoming Joomla! User Group (JUG) Brisbane Australia.

7th July at 7.00pm Brisbane time GMT+10 (7th July, 10:00am UTC)

This live streamed video presentation is a chance to lift the lid off the Joomla 1.6 release. It is part of the Brisbane JUG meeting, Andrew will be talking about what’s in this upcoming release, including Access Control in the Administrator, the addition of commenting, and extension upgrades. Andrew will also provide some insight as to the possible upgrade process from Joomla 1.5 to 1.6.

During the stream, you'll be able to ask live questions via the Ustream service chat.  The JUG will have a person monitoring the comments and questions in the meeting, and your questions will be relayed to Andrew for a responses.

So if you have a burning question about Joomla 1.6, and you're interested in learning more about the work that's been going on, this is a great opportunity to learn more directly from one of the development team members.
