Dev Corner

Hero image for Tips & Tricks section.

This edition of Dev Corner is more about useful tools for Developers, Integrators that make our life easier everyday!

The 1st is: https://clamp.font-size.app/

This feels almost like magic - fonts that scale without having to use media-queries...

The 2nd is: https://fontgauntlet.com/

Great to play around and see how a font would look and what characteristics it includes, test variable fonts, live preview and more...

The 3rd is:
https://wave.webaim.org/

A tool that I can't live without in my effort to check that the content and website(s) that I build are accessible to all.

The 4th is:
https://coolors.co/

A tool that helps make generating color palettes a breeze...

Bonus:
https://caniuse.com/

The web evolves and keeping up with what can or can't be used across different generations of web browsers is not always easy but Can I Use solves that - that's how I discovered that the above clamp is very well supported today.

All of the above are free to use and only coolors.co requires creating a free account.

Some of the tools above were proposed by Angie Radtke and Emmanuel Lemor.

Be on the lookout in next month's issue for some
exciting information from Joomla's Sponsors.

This month's newsletter would not have been possible without
the help of our wonderful volunteers!
