CiviCRM LogoAs last week ended (and, well, this week began…), I was finishing implementing the first feature of this year’s project: reverting to single language.

While the ability to revert a multilingual site back to a single language can seem at first like an anti-feature that’s contrary to the spirit of the project, our past experiences strongly suggested that it’s going to be most welcome.

Quite a few would-be multilingual users were shy to test the all-or-nothing switch of their CiviCRM install to multilingual version, and if/when they encountered problems after the switch it was rather hard to guess whether they stumbled upon a genuine multilingual bug, or a general, CiviCRM one. This feature lets them revert their multilingual sites back to single-language one, something that was previously possible only by reverting to backups (or doing a semi-advanced database surgery).

And now – on with the previously-presented schedule…
