Way back when, eons ago we announced, that the family of Joomla Web sites were undergoing a major upgrade and facelift. Having just completed the Joomla Extensions Directory, here's the current status:

1. Joomla main site at www.joomla.org - Complete. Phase 2 improvements in process.
2. Joomla Shop at shop.joomla.org - Complete.
3. Joomla Demo at demo.joomla.org - Complete.
4. Joomla Community Portal at community.joomla.org - Complete. Phase 2 improvements in process.
5. Joomla Discussion Forums at forum.joomla.org - Complete. Phase 2 improvements in process.
6. Joomla Extensions Directory at extensions.joomla.org - Complete.
7. Joomla Developer Network at developer.joomla.org - Coming soon.
8. Joomla Documentation Wiki at docs.joomla.org - Coming soon.

The last two items on the list are the Developer site and the Documentation Wiki. The Wiki recently underwent a reorganization to help users better find what they're looking for, but that's just the first step.

The big surprise will be the new developer's site. It's a bit disorganized at the moment, but we've been doing some hard thinking about what makes developers tick, what gets them excited, and why they should be really jazzed about joining Joomla. We have a few tricks up our sleeve and, with Joomla 1.6 on the horizon, there are a slew of amazing things in store for Joomla.
