JoomlaCode passed the 1500 number last week, we now have over 1500 registered projects who all develop Joomla! extensions. JoomlaCode is not the only extension resource, of course we also have the Extension Site. Not all Joomla! developers use both resources at the same time, so if you are looking for an extension, be sure to search on both.
