Description: Founded in 1998, TechLINKS specializes in linking Buyers and Sellers in the technology community through the TechLINKS Exchange online sourcing center, a highly interactive website, the award-winning TechLINKS magazine, a daily email newsletter, and popular B2B events. Among the more than 50,000 technology professionals who use TechLINKS Exchange, read TechLINKS, and attend these events are CIOs, CMOs, IT directors and managers, purchasing officers, and marketing and sales executives. Recently we turned over all our online community interaction to tagcommunity.org.Case Study: The TechLINKS.net website was originally a asp.net Community Server site. I was given the task of managing the project to get it converted to Joomla. We were able to migrate all data and files successfully to Joomla and launched the new site in January, 2009. We have over 30,000 registered members to our site, and have over 20,000 Announcements, Articles, and Events being submitted to our site. Our site proves the expandability and extensibility of Joomla. In addition, we have added JomSocial to allow for social networking in the B2B space. Many have embraced it as we have integrated it with Twitter and LinkedIn. Many new features are on their way to our site. A few custom components will play key roles in furthering our business.
