We hope our endeavor also helps grow tennis in India. Our aim is to create more awareness of the game and promote a culture of tennis in India.Case Study: We were a group of four tennis enthusiasts who were sitting after a long tiring game of tennis. Discussing tennis and the facilities we 'did not' have while we were in our younger years, an idea popped up - why not help enable youngsters with knowledge, why not help contribute to the game, why not bring the players and other like-minded people... so that the culture for the game in the country is benefited.
The first channel we could think to collaborate was the Internet, and coming over to facebook and twitter was not a difficult task. But that was not sufficient. We had to have a place, a website, a portal... that could help us bring people to 'us'. Which is why we went on to register our domain and start building up our website.
Our v1.0 of the website was a very naive one. Made on iWeb, the website was purely static. It had all the features that any iWeb website could have, but it was soooo very static. Very difficult to update and maintain... and the worst part, each time we updated it, the previous articles were all but lost.
Slowly and steadily, we realized that we could not continue with it. We had to 'invest' in getting a portal developed, and as we are a non-profit organization - more so an NGO, we did not have much money. So, we started to look here and there. Seeking help from people who can make it for us at no price... but we could find noone.
Finally, we met a friend of mine, MD of GeoBeats Inc. who suggested us to choose a CMS. We were like, WHAT's THAT? He smiled and asked us to visit Joomla!, Drupal, Wordpress, etc.
The next month was so much satisfying. We spent all this time evaluating, learning, and finally choosing Joomla! for our website.
So much fun it was, and such high the learning graph, that in the next one month, we were live with out portal, www.tennisjunction.in hosting our website with Joomla! specialized vendors, and today are gurus on Joomla.
Beautiful work done... Long live Joomla!

For a website dedicated to promoting the culture of tennis, this is actually a great start. So, while my rating says GOOD, its only because, there's a few miles to chase the ball.
Clean, one-view home page that gives me a good strong idea that there's a team who is passionate about the game.
The design gets top billing.
