Description: The aim of the website is to provide timely information about competition golf in this wonderful region of the world - the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. We share news, events, results and photographs of golf with the community. From January to April, the focus is on the Zone Pennant competition. Club, Zone and District Open Days and Charity Fundraisers are promoted throughout the remainder of the year.Case Study: I'm not a web developer, I just like to dabble and this is my first Joomla website!
It's all relatively out-of-the-box, but suits our needs. I've noticed that it's a particularly slow site and I don't know how to improve the speed.
Components used: Polls, News feeds, Joomleague (great for creating a sports league fixture and table), Phocagallery (a little cumbersome and not very pretty, but good enough for now).
