Description: Official web site for Let's Play Ball and the USSSA Alabama Braves baseball team located in Demopolis, Alabama.Case Study: Lets Play Ball was formed in the Fall of 2008 as an instructional and developmental travel ball team to provide a higher level of competition, training, and coaching than was available in the local league. The players and parents had such a great experience that they formed Lets Play Ball, a qualified 501(c)(3) as an affiliated organization under the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)to help make the experience available to all area baseball players.

Our Joomla website is instrumental in organizing our teams and events and quickly communicating with parents and players changes in schedules and game locations that occur often and sometimes with little notice in baseball tournaments. Using the built in Newsflash and email features and 3rd party extensions for calendars, and MMS, the manager can quickly and easily notify everyone of important changes and updates through multiple communication technologies (email, MMS, website, etc...)in just a matter of minutes. The rich media capabilities and friendly user interface allows parents to share videos and pictures with family and friends. We also upload instructional media to the website and are able to track player access and test them with online quizzes. The multi-level security features allows us to share sensitive information with parents only. Finally the overall site helps promote and recruit future players to our program.
