Description: MikvahMinder is the first online interactive Taharas HaMishpacha (Family Purity) calendar on the web. It automatically calculates all dates and sends reminders to users cell phone or email address.Case Study: I developed MikvahMinder initially as a stand-alone application with the intent of integrating it into Joomla, but in retrospect, I should have started out by designing it as a Joomla component as I am constantly amazed by all the resources available in the Joomla application.
While developing this application, I learned how to integrate Joomla with an application heavy with AJAX. I also had to learn a lot about converting dates from different calendars and formats.
