The idea was to make something different than an ordinary church site to reflect the kind of life the people of the church and community live. Color was key as was brightness, warmth and a family feeling for the site.
It is also a highly participative site, users can create articles, send messages to each other on the site via uddeIM component, create their own galleries via the joomlagallery component and submitt friends and familly local businesses via the Segsui Online Business Index.
It uses an array of modules to display information and images from church schedule and coffee rota to articles, web media (e.g youtube videos) and photos.
The initial project was outlined in picture 3 and was loosely followed and adapted as we went on.
