Rate My Nursery helps parents by providing a listing of all the day nurseries in a given town and allows parents to rate and review nurseries, so prospective parents can get honest and unbiased feedback on any nursery.
Nursery owners are able to claim and manage their listing, respond to reviews and promote their nursery.Case Study: To implement this requirement we turned to JReviews, which had everything we needed, including a Paid Listing module to generate revenue from owners claiming their listing. As a fully fledged CCK component, we were particularly impressed that JReviews integrates with the normal com_content and menu systems.
We used a of module to display RSS feeds on the home page & Kunena forum for registered users to sell stuff, etc.
We also use JCE as the editor, along with AdminTools and Akeeba backup, & a few other bits and bobs.
Beside the template, there was a little custom coding to automatically create the necessary categories and menus for British counties and towns.
