Using Joomla's newest version, it is really very easy to create a multilingual site.
I also wanted to make a site which display well on screens which is narrower than the average computer display. To accomplish this I just used a template which have support for fluid width.
Another goal was to make it possible to publish Video's of different formats, which is not messed up if the visitor use a narrow browser window. The video's displayed on this site will automatically adjust width and hight to be nicely displayed, regardless of the width of the browser window.
One nice feature added to this site, which is not a default Joomla feature, is that when you view intro articles in category blog, then the articles in the two columns float independently of each other. In a normal Joomla Category blog page, you will see some vertical space between some of the intro articles in category blog. This is because each pair of articles (if using a two column layout) is output at the same vertical position. I really hope that the Joomla team consider to implement this as an optional feature. Another feature of this Joomla site is that I wanted to test out some cool new features... such as displaying a thumbnail image of the author in an article (optional), as well as displaying a thumbnail image of the article author next to each returned article in the search result page. I have also made a feature request based on this feature. If I get time for it I might create a patch as well.
