Description: A comprehensive gene therapy resource containing information on all aspects of gene therapy. The site features educational articles, gene therapy jobs & news, patient resources and a clinical trials database. We also accept articles from contributors with expertise in any aspect of medical or biological sciences with a view to create a most comprehensive human genetics educational resource. We also invite companies to maintain their own pages or sections describing their products and services accessible to the gene therapy community.Case Study: The Gene Therapy Review was initially set up as a portal containing information on all aspects of gene therapy, i.e. information for patients, researcher and clinicians. Initially, the site was set up as the front-end interface of a database listing all clinical trials with direct links to the companies developing products and the results of each clinical trial.
After migrating to Joomla, it soon became apparent that we could introduce a new feature to the site; in the form of article contributions from leading researchers in the field. The structure of Joomla made introducing this feature a natural progression and it has helped to extend the reach of the site as a whole.
We now invite users or companies to submit articles describing their research and services, thus allowing us to build a comprehensive gene therapy resource.
