First Parish Congregational Church
The Rocket Theme Perihelion template looks good for a church website
Clear Lake Christian School
I am working a Christian School site and will be using this site as my reference of what features Joomla can provide.

Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church
The one feature here that this site is trying that most church don't have is Virtuemart to sell event tickets. Have to see how this works out for them.

It looks like they use JEvents, not JCalPro for the calendar.
Owner's reply

We switched out the calendar to support event registrations.

First Baptist Church Texhoma
Big Buttons for things like Sermons and Events and a simple top menu to explore make FBCTexhoma a great example of a warm and friendly church website. I would definitely show this to anyone who is thinking about using Joomla.
First United Methodist Church - Yale, OK
yaleumc.com shows how an attractive basic church website can be built with Joomla. The animated image in the center is welcoming to new comers. The modules give the links to the most important information. The top menu makes navigation easy.

The Guggenheim Museum
This is really impressive. The site is wonderful. It realy shows off the power of the how Joomla can divide up content columns and modules.
Church52 Family Worship Center
The JEvent Calendar styles are smoothly integrated with the sites overall styles.

The large multifont top menu is a nice touch.

Thanks for writing up a detailed case study. I do much work in Microsoft Access so I will need to check out CSV Improved. Acajoom, too.

Beacon Baptist Church
I like the use of the three column format. The color scheme with the dark lavendar and charcoal grey is attractive.

This site has a similar problem that I have seen before when it comes to getting a good picture of the church. You would like to have a picture that shows the whole church as seen from a passing car, on the best spring day with a blue sky, green grass, and blossoming flowers when the sunlight is just right. Here we have green grass, most of a sign, an empty parking lot, the church, and storm clouds. This is the only criticism I have.

I don;t have a picture of my church on my site because all the pictures that have been provided to me are pictures of giant empty parking lots with a church at the horizon.
