Description: Rescue dogs is a showcase for overlooked dogs in rescue centres across the UK and Ireland. The dogs on the site have been waiting months or even years to find a home. They come in all shapes and sizes and for one reason or another their kennels are always passed by. The site was originally created using HTML but was becoming unmanageable due to its size and popularity. The switch to Joomla was relatively painless and the website did not lose any ranking in Google. It continues to rank highly, attract a lot of visitors but is now much easier to keep up to date! Most importantly, it is responsible for the successful rehoming of many difficult to home dogs in the UK.
