Kennel mainly addressed to people from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries, Also european countries.Case Study: Design: color scheme and logo style was bought from Template Monster template (non joomla flash template) and fully adapted to new site needs (almost 90% retouched and converted to joomla 1.5.x template).
Joomla Version: 1.5.x (no core retouching - all changes using template system, latest version update on time).
Joomla Template: light, valid under W3C, tableless, crossbrowser.

3. Custom written plugin for maintain images (runs from template index so can work for any output place and no need to install it as plugin). Creates thumbs for images of specific size and store temp files in tem folder. So same file can be of any size (120x40, 500x600, 200x300 etc.) - just specify needed size for img tag width and height attributes Resize can be CUT (when width and height specified) or FIT (if width or height specified, and other side will be clculated with aspect ratio). By default 150x100px is used. Original image by default is scaled down to 800x600 (if other not specified). Images open in slimbox. Easy to specify to not resize original file, to not retouch file, to not create lightbox link by adding several letters in file name, alt attribute and class. Very flexible and easy to use. Image tag in admin panel looks like usual with alt height width and class params - so ideally to insert using standard html editor.
4. Gallery plugin (aslo runs from template index) - based on previous plugin. Gallery plugin scans specified folder and output pure html tags, previous plugin does image resizing and the rest. Very flexible in use: as per simple image using regular html, or create galleries. Ideally suits to create simple galleries in articles (using its pagination option). By default at blog pages shows 8 pictures from the folder, on full article page - scans and output all images. At request can be done pagination for folder with lots of images.

You did a wonderful job on your site. I wish I could read the language, but I only speak and read english. The layout is fantastic. Did you code the template yourself or did you use Artisteer or contract someone to design it for you?

As it was described ... the idea (colors, logo style) was taken from TM#18707 - if you look at it - you can see parts frm there ... colors, logo font, menu style. But design was adapted myslef to 1024px wide layout, different header, different typo ... etc. I just like colors for black dog site.
The rest - everythink I mean - done by myslef, professional template creation and and content stuff (described in Case Study).
