A website for Club Members and the Public to provide information about club activities.Case Study: This site was a collaborative effort, with the hosting, set-up of Joomla, and initial design being the 'webmaster' realm, and the client receiving training in Joomla and becoming enabled to create and edit content.
The rt_subtletrooper from Rockettheme and its automatic color changes for the pages reflected the gardening world quite nicely.
Random images in the top right corner give it a 'fresh' look, and although I'm not fond of the client's choice of font color in the articles, it's helping to bring attention to various changing content.
The Poll module brings folks back and draws them in, and the restricted content - for registered members and executive members - allows for business to be conducted "out of the public's view" and issues to be addressed in a timely manner.
The mass mailout to all registered members is a bonus, and the club is quite happy with their new 'tool'.
