Description: A portal for inline skaters in the Heidelberg-Mannheim region. It offers an up-to-date overview of relevant events and helps organize the large but diverse crowd of inline-skating fans in the region. In addition it provides a forum for team members to communicate and document skate-tours.Case Study: The site was set up in April of 2009 to help integrate the large but diverse community of inline skaters in the Region around Heidelberg and Mannheim in Southern Germany. The main tasks were to create a common an regularly updated portal for all relevant events, particularly skatenights. More ambitious inline skaters also receive information on training and joining the Rhein-Neckar Skater Team. So far most site functionality is non-interactive and uses a Newsletter and the Website. For members the site needed to provide 1 to 1 communication (pms) and gated access to photos documenting tours and other team activities.
