Description: MyIceNine.net is a fairly new site to the VideoGame industry. The purpose of MyIceNine is to bring quality news that pertains to any part of the industry with real opinions. The site is also here to provide free games developed by it's admin. A forum is also offered to bring gamers together.Case Study: Originally, MyIceNine was intended to be a resume site. However, bigger plans were forged. It was determined that a CMS was needed. I had used PHP-Nuke before but was fairly unhappy with the results. Research was done to find the best available. Eventually, Joomla came out as the clear winner.
In the few months, the site has changed drastically. Part of this was due to the inexperience with Joomla. Originally, the site was bridged with a phpBB forum but this was undesirable. Eventually, Agora was discovered. This was probably the best component discovered to date.
Several themes were tried. Eventually, RocketTheme seemed to be the best choice so the site now utilize's one of their themes.
Most of the problems have come with conflicts between the theme and components/modules. However, after the wonderful support from Joomlame and RocketTheme the problems were easily rectified.
While few there are few members, they all have shown great interest in the site and feel it has the potential to become a leading information source for the Video Game industry.

I like the name, and template implementation with some good stuff via the layout. I would recommend a little bit more care in laying out the articles with thumbnails in terms of aesthetic appeal and readability.

Thanks for the feedback! I am not exactly sure what you mean by laying out the articles with thumbnails. If you would be so kind as to elaborate it would be greatly appreciated.
