Description: System of Reckoning is for anyone who wants to share their calendar with everyone else. Publish your gig dates, tv guides or school activities and let others know exactly when something's on. And if you're wanting to keep track of something, System of Reckoning can let you know exactly when it's going to happen.Case Study: We wanted to build a calendar system with the additional requirement that people could share their events easily with others.

With extensive knowledge of Joomla!, in particular the API, and with a plethora of 3rd party extensions, we decided that building upon this platform would speed up development and negate many of the trivial user and data management issues that plague sites built from the ground up.

Much of the site is built with off-the-shelf extensions, such as JEvents, SEF Sitemap and Custom Content, and gaps are filled in with custom components. A prerequisite for all extensions was that it must be free and open source; with experience in the development of a number of F/OSS projects we knew that the power of customization and extensibility would lie in our ability to study and modify the source code unhindered.
