Description: Dietikus is a site build by students at Mondragon University as a project. Dietikus presents a site where users can find tools to elaborate a weekly menu online. Dieta equilibrada Dietas1K is the main application and will allow users to introduce simple data (weight, height, age, ...) and obtain their ideal weight and IMC. The application also calculates the nutritional needs for the user (kcal/day) and from that value present the menu for a whole week including breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. It also presentes receipes for that menu showing ingredients, quantities and process. Finally a list of the ingredients needed will be provided.
The site is in Spanish.Case Study: The site was built by students at Mondragon University (Basque Country-Spain). It presents the site of a company that offers online nutritional applications and is part of a project design at university.
The students use joomla 1.5 for developing the site.
The students used templates, modules and plugings available in the community.
The students are also developing a component for the main application. The component will be finished in less than a month.
