Established in 1941, the Civil Air Patrol has three primary missions: Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and the Cadet Program. The CAP was credited with saving 91 lives in 2008, flying more than 4,000 hours and devoting more than 40,000 man-hours to support search and rescue missions.
