Individually and corporately, the church body is discovering that the future Age to Come can be experienced in part today through power to help each person overcome negative patterns and practices and the growing ability to live corporately as a living demonstration of the Kingdom of God through love, acceptance and forgiveness.Case Study: The church needed an update to its existing site to make it more interactive and user-friendly for potential church visitors and members. The site also needed to facilitate content management by multiple church members while preventing members from "breaking" the site while updating content.
The new site uses Joomla 1.5 with the noixACL component to allow fine-grain authorization (even restricting a user to a single article only). The site also makes use of the GCal (component/modules), hwdVideoShare, JComments, JoomlaPack, Kunena Forum and Phoca Download components. The Sourcerer plug-in is also used to insert code directly into articles.
Since the church was limited in resources (one developer creating the entire site), using Joomla helped to drastically reduce the amount of time to complete the site. The various components, modules and plug-ins available on the Joomla Extensions site simply needed to be downloaded and integrated with the site in order to meet the church's requirements.
