Description: Carol Foundation is a non-profit organization founded on October 1998 by Inmaculada Fernandéz Cavada at the city of Cordoba, Ver. Mexico. The main goal of the foundation is not just to give physical and psychological treatment to kids with Down Syndrome and similar situations but to educate and guide their parents into the hard process of incorporate them to society and productive life.Case Study: Since this is a non-profit organization the main goal of the site was to present relevant information in a clear-friendly way. Included in the site is an introductory video and a dynamic flash image gallery with recent events.
The site is a standard Joomla 1.5.10 installation. The only custom extensions are a simple back-end module to generate the XML configuration file for the flash image gallery when new images or uploaded to the server and a work-in-progress simple component to accept and keep track of donations via PayPal.
