The new design is more clean and open and utilises a lot of white space to allow for ease of reading. As MPA only has a strong online presence, is the first point of call or perhaps even the only face of MPA to help connect survivors, sufferers and families of melanoma, this was redesigned be the most interesting, engaging, relevant and compelling face and marketing device MPA have, the site design is imperative.

The new site design effectively communicates and informs MPA friends about what it is doing now. Just like the fashion industry, websites date too, the designs change, your business focus may have shifted, or new technologies may have emerged that can help you mange your site ore efficiently or display and communicate your message more suitably. This was a major reason for the redesign provided as contribution in kind by SM2.

The new website was launched on Thursday 09 July 2009. MPA thanked SM2 for their patience and hard work and they have already received much favourable feedback from their members within the first 5 hours of the new design launch.

The Founders of the organisation Daniel Belcher and Brent Grace were both diagnosed with Melanoma at a young age and felt that access to information, treatment options and contact with fellow melanoma patients and survivors was limited.

Melanoma Patients Australia Ltd strives to touch the hearts of the many thousand Australians affect by melanoma each year. Our organisation aims to provide information, inspiration and hope to melanoma patients and their carers and in doing so improve the quality and longevity of their lives. We also aim to reduce the incidence and severity of melanoma by advocating the prevention and early detection message and by aiding researchers.
