Description: Payment agency of EU agriculture aids for italian region Basilicata. ARBEA vortal offers agriculture news; a Google Map of delegated bodies; a legislation repository of about 5.000 documents and an agriculture glossary of about 1.500 terms; all agency activities, events, forms; agriculture books reviews; informatic services for farmers comprehending a farms showcase, a search engine for payments performed, calculation of aids to pay, a compatibility verifier for aids of EU CAP (Common Agriculture Policy).Case Study: Joomla! extensions (mod_docman_list, Glossary Search and PeopleBook sanitized) were realized from scratch for this vortal.
It has also been heavily customized using Google Maps API, Prototype/script.aculo.us, and custom PHP scripts embedded using mod_wrapper (a common utility library was also created); in any case, core Joomla! API were modified.
www.arbea.basilicata.it uses a custom, accessible template tested in six major browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, Avant Browser).
Migration to all Joomla! 1.5 native extensions is in progress; vortal use many extensions, major of which is a DOCman repository with about 5.000 documents.
