Description: The Youth Venture Project assists in organising and supervising creative, challenging expeditions for young people between the ages of 15 and 26 in the Dublin area. We provide specialist equipment, supervision, emergency care, advice and training to young people, schools and community groups. In particular we engage with schools and community groups in designated disadvantaged areas of Dublin to tackle social exclusion, marginalization and oppression of young people by encouraging young people to become involved in developing their interpersonal, social and communication skills, providing a sense of achievement, building self-confidence, and teaching responsibility through venture activities.Case Study: The Youth Venture Project, as a charitable organisation, could not afford to invest a lot of money in having a website built. Joomla! allowed us to develop our website totally in-house. The site was created by a single person who had some experience building HTML website but had never used a CMS before. We were able to very quickly build a relatively attractive and very functional website without employing a graphic designer. We are delighted with the results and would like to thank the Joomla! community for all their hard work.
