Description: The Campbell River & District Foodbank helps many local individuals and families put food on the table when they have run out of options. Foodbank users represent a broad cross section of our community, and demand is increasing each year.Case Study: The Campbell River & District Foodbank Society struggles to bring in enough food donations to meet the demand. We decided to donate our time and build them a website that would allow them to accept online donations. Thanks to a great effort by locals with social media, this website managed to bring in an impressive sum in online donations in the two weeks leading up to Christmas. The foodbank can effectively purchase about triple the amount of food as a consumer, so those donations went a long way to putting food on the table for the less fortunate.
