Description: FEKS (Felnőttképzés Somogyországban) is a hungarian school in the EU, it is based in a very poor countryside town by a non-profit organization in order to teach and training adult people who have not got education/degree or a decent profession. The school offers a wide range of educational opportunities for people who are unemployed as well.
Relased date: May-June of 2010 yearCase Study: The non-profit organization behind the school needed a such CMS system which allows for not only the webmaster but the administrators as well to maintain the whole contents on the site and allows to create new ones too.
The best solution to achieve the goals was Joomla! 1.5 with an effective CCK system: K2.
The costumer using the K2 the frontend could add/edit/delete/archive the whole contents including the news, courses, add/edit/delete photo galleries, upload downloadable pdf documents, edit/maintain the guestbook and so on.
The design is totally unique. The template coded from scratch and the design elements were made in an creative design software.
The list of the website's features in a nutshell:
- news category
- categories for courses separated form each two different school locations (2 towns)
- registration form
- guestbook for the registered students/visitors
- help desk (chat) system for the registered students/visitors
- galleries
- newsletter system
- online mail forms for every individuals who works in the school (administrators, teachers, managers, etc.)
- SEO optimization
- backup system
- ui: a blackboard at the bottom of the page showing the latest news and the latest courses
- etc.
