We signed up for a free demo of Joomla 1.5 and tried to convert our HTML site to the new Joomla 1.5 platform. Realizing that this was going to be a long process, we took the ideas we had from the original version of Ruidoso Vacation Connection and started from scratch re-designing our site with Joomla.
It was the best thing we ever did! The ideas we had in our heads of what we wanted to do with the site could actually be realized with all the extensions available to us. Over the next 8 to 9 months we built a site that is everything we were looking for, and to this day we continually up-date and use new extensions that make our site very user friendly, interactive, and informative to our readers. Our return visitors and unique visitor count grows everyday. By finally being able to integrate Google Analytics into our site, we are able to see what our site is actually accomplishing. Along with so many other great extensions available to us, we have delivered what we set out to do almost two years ago, and look forward to see what we can do next to make our Joomla 1.5 website better everyday.
