Description: Storm Pictures is a photography agency, fully focused on action, sports and health images. We have been in the business for almost 20 years and our style is based on close frames, brilliant colours and guts-up breathtaking moments.Case Study: I needed a site to provide my customers with a fast, clean and easy-to-update portfolio of recent pictorials. So I started with a basic installation and a modified template.
Given the huge amount of database calls made by gallery extensions, I decided to avoid such kind of code and make an intense use of templated articles, in which small thumbnails are the main content. I must tell also that I'm strongly against Flash picture plug-in. I think that they demand a lot of cycles from client's processors and they don't provide a better exposure for your work.
The second component was the calendar, that allows my customers to know what events I'm going to cover.
Now I'm looking for a way to change the main picture dynamically. I'll tell you...
