We wanted to use Open Source all the way so we opted for Virtue-mart as the cart. Template was built to match the old site and VM was heavily customised to improve the look and feel.
Joomla template was built and all the articles were updated in the back-end. We used "Superblogger" as a plug-in to turn Joomla articles into a blog [http://www.whoartnow.co.uk/art-blog]
