Description: The Art Project Open Doors (Projecto artE de pORtas abErtas) in the Santa Maria street of Funchal, Madeira island, has been launched to open the gates of the city of Funchal to Art and Culture.Case Study: In an effort to bring new life and create an interest in culture in the old city of Funchal on Madeira island, old abandoned and deteriorated doors on the street Santa Maria have been individually painted by artists.
The web site was created to allow users to navigate along the street and visit each door, see the art and learn more about the artist.
