The site also required off-line updating and then changes had to be uploaded via FTP resulting in minor changes requiring large uploads.
Rebuilding the site using Joomla addressed many critical issues in one swoop. It enabled the site to become aesthetically much more pleasing to visitors which impacts on the amount of business that is generated, it allowed far easier updating parameters which encouraged regular updating and fresh content to be added and it allowed for custom features that were not possible ussing the old system.
