Site Profile
Description: Due to an increased demand for her work, Angela Harding, a renowned printmaker and painter, asked us to design a new website to allow her to take her work to a larger audience.
In order to convey the intellectual and physical processes unique to her work, we focused not just on her profile and the final pieces but where she works, how she works and the techniques she employs.
Angela's work is inspired by the countryside and wildlife surrounding her rural studio and through her use of a natural colour palette she skilfully captures the mood of her surroundings. We wanted to carry this through to the visual impact of the site.Case Study: Angela's work has become increasingly popular after receiving coverage in the interiors press and being recognised for her illustrations in the BBC Gardens Illustrated magazine. Like many independent artists Angela needed a visually strong site, providing both inspiration for commissions and presenting her current range of work, that she would be able to update herself.
Using beautifully reproduced images of the work and an appropriate palette the site sets the scene for Angela's inspiration and the physical and creative processes of fine art printmaking and painting.
The new site was timed to be launched and tested prior to an up and coming feature in the April edition of Country Living magazine.
