Description: Asker Kunstforening (founded 1970) is one of the largest art societies in Norway.
The Association's purpose is to convey the visual arts, crafts and knowledge of art to the population of Asker, through exhibitions, guided tours, lectures and the sale of artworks.
On average, they hold 8 to 10 exhibitions per year. Their gallery is located in the center of Asker, outside of Oslo.
Asker Kunstforening has an ever expanding collection of art. Works from the collection are lent out to schools, senior centers, nursing homes and other public buildings.
