It's a very simple site that uses simple caddy and phoca gallery to showcase previous artwork. It also uses the phoca guestbook component for comments.Case Study: The brief was to create a site that was original, simple to start with (so that the artist could self manage updates initially and costs could stay at a minimum) but that had the framework to "grow with the vision" of the artist.
The online shop of course was key as way showcasing the artists work.
I chose simple caddy because it allows a very free presentation form and there were not going to be more that 20 products on the site initially. Product growth would be slow and would not feature more than 1 or 2 products at a time so importing wasn't an issue.
Phoca gallery is simple to use and presents a clean result making the picture not the component features the focus.
