John T. Denny, Ph.D.
JT has spent about half his life in and out of a host countries in Asia. With a passion for helping others he founded of the Joomla! Users Group of Cambodia, among a multitude of other civil society and private sector projects. In Cambodia his main interest is helping Cambodians empower themselves with new ideas, tools and methodologies through governance, communications, IT and education. He has been in and out of Cambodia since 2003 since establishing a non-governmental organization called PC4Peace which collects, refurbishes and sends computers for use in Cambodian schools and other select locations. His expertise covers national development through ICT/IT in education and other sectors. Having been a university level teacher for some 15 years and spending the past 5 years or so on international development issues, he is most familiar with needs from a capacity building stance, yet more and more spends his time learning and practicing rural development and ICT needs (ICT and power consumption profiles, rural connectivity, IT policy, etc...).
