Serving 3,500 Extensions to the Community

On August 1, 2008, a milestone of 3,500 extensions was reached on the Joomla! Extensions Directory.
Special thanks to each Joomla! third-party developer who shares GPL compatiable extensions with the community. It is due to your collective efforts that our Web sites have comments, photo galleries, calendar icons, ping, Mediawiki integration, form development tools, translations, Mootools wizardry, document sharing capability, and about 3,492 other great things. It's amazing to see so many developers making their work available for the benefit of others and each of those contributions are very much appreciated.
We also appreciate the considerable efforts of the Joomla! Extension Directory Editors who work very hard to make certain the directory serves the community. Take time to read the JED Editors Blog to learn more how these contributors help keep things moving smoothly.
