Joomla! Day Netherlands 2009

The Netherlands Joomla! Community eagerly awaits the fifth Joomla! Days Netherlands event at the Hotel Mercure Nieuwegein on Friday, June 12th, and Saturday, June 13th 2009. Hundreds of open source experts and business users are expected to come to Nieuwegein in order to learn more about Joomla and make important connections with others. Those planning to attend are encouraged to get tickets now as the event is expected to sell out quickly.

An incredible program is planned for both Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th, including:

• Each day begins with an important keynote. On Friday, the 'State of OSM' and on Saturday, ‘Joomla! 1.6’ will be the topics you will not want to miss.
• Plenary sessions will be held from 9am to 1pm. This year, attendees are invited to Ask Doctor Joomla questions and get answers from Joomla! Core Team and OSM Board members.
• Lunch will be served between 1 pm and 2pm.
• Three tracks, each with four sessions, will be held in the afternoon from 2pm to 6pm.
• Training for Beginners and Advanced Users is also available both afternoon.
• Joomla Jeopardy and an opportunity to enjoy drinks together will conclude each daily session.

Friday, June 12th is Joomla! Business Day. Topics: Getting involved with the Joomla! Project; SEO and Marketing of a Joomla! Web site; Multilingual Web sites using Nooku; Open Source Business Support; Magento and Joomla!; K2 and Tamka.

Saturday, June 13th is Joomla! Community Day. Topics: Hosting; Migrating from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5; Security; Developing Modules; Templating; Template Overrides; Using Flash and Web Services with Joomla!.

Speakers include many well known, talented Joomla! experts, including: Michel van Agtmaal, Ray Bogman, Paul Delbar, Fotis Evangelou, Hagen Graf, Wilco Jansen, Johan Janssens, René Kreijveld, Hans Kuijpers en Herman Peeren, Peter Martin, Ryan Ozimek,  Hannes Papenberg, Sander Potjer, Brian Teeman, Henk van Cann, Gruus van Woerkom, Mathias Verraes, and Arno Zijlstra.
