Events
Around the world Joomla users come together in person. A variety of events are organized by the Joomla! community and supported by the Joomla! Project. Joomla! Days are a way for local communities to organize a special event about Joomla. The Joomla team members and local community members also attend Expos and conferences around the world.
Joomla!Day Spain 2009 Barcelona
On December 11 & 12, 2009, we are preparing a weekend packed with presentations, workshops and catering for the entire Joomla community—from beginners to developers. All will occur at "Espai Jove de Gràcia" in Barcelona. Learn more and register online at http://www.joomladay.info.
Joomla!Day Germany 2009
The third Joomla!Day in Germany will be held from the 24th Sept. 2009 to 26th Sept. 2009 in Bad Nauheim (near Frankfurt). Together with the Virtuemart team, we have put together an interesting range of workshops and presentations. The three days have different headlines:
- Thursday, 24th Sept.: Virtuemart Day
- Friday, 25th Sept.: Joomla! Business Day
- Saturday, 26th Sept.: Joomla! Community Day
Some of the highlights we already have on the schedule:
Joomla! Day New York
A dedicated volunteer staff, made up of members from the NYC Joomla! Users Group, is proud to announce Joomla!Day NYC! (We hope this will be the first of many annual Joomla! Day NYC events to come.)
This full day program should prove to be extremely valuable for both Joomla! devotee's as well as newbies. The day is divided into three primary time blocks, each with the choice of 4 workshops (for a total of twelve available workshops). Additionally, an impressive list of speakers have been lined up.
Space for attendance to this event is extremely limited - only the first 100 registrations can be accepted, so sign up quickly if you are serious about expanding your Joomla! skills. ("Early Bird" pricing for the first 50 to sign up.)

Joomla! Day Brazil 2009
After a very tough dispute between the two largest cities in Brazil - Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the Wonderful City, as Rio is also known, was chosen as headquarters for the Joomla! Day Brazil 2009. The place where the event will be carried through, at the feet of the Sugar Loaf mountain, has a conference room for 300 people and an ample space for coffee-break and networking.
Important developers, companies and members of the Joomla Project! have already confirmed their presence. We have planned a full day with lectures for beginning users and developers, case studies and a lot of networking.
We feel this last one is the most valuable, because our wish is for the Community to grow as a whole and for everyone to walk side-by-side towards a better CMS and a better Internet.
Joomla!Day Cape Town 2009
The South African Joomla! Community is getting ready for the upcoming Joomla!Day Cape Town. The event will be held on Saturday, August 15th and there will be an additional training day on Friday, August 14th 2009. The event will be held at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Joomla!Day Bangkok 2009
The Thai Joomla! Community is looking forward to their third Joomla! Day Bangkok in Thailand's beautiful and thriving capital city. The event will be held on Saturday, August 22th and Sunday,August 23th 2009, from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Sripatum University.The place where the event has a conference room for 800+ people.
